Where it is
The Children Palace is the palace counted fifth from the Life Palace (命宫) in the Zi Wei chart. Traditionally it represents children, but it also covers creative projects, students and the people you mentor.
What tradition looks at
The reading pays attention to a few things in that palace:
- The main stars sitting there — e.g. 天府 or 天同 suggest a gentle, steady parenting style; 太阳 a bright, engaged connection.
- The four transformations (化禄 / 化权 / 化科 / 化忌) — they colour whether the energy flows, stabilises, refines or contracts.
- The elemental nature of the palace and its stars.
Beyond biology
In a modern reading the Children Palace is less about a number of children and more about how you nurture — your creative "children" (the work you put into the world) and the younger or less-experienced people you guide. For the palace system behind this, see our twelve palaces guide.
